Two Applewood residents cast in MYZFYTZ production
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP― Norman Sher, 89, and Joan Lopatin, 87, residents of Applewood Estates, have been cast in MYZFYTZ’s musical comedy production, "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change," at the Performing Arts Center, Applewood Estates. The newly established, Freehold-based theater company will present its inaugural performance of off-Broadway’s longest-running musical comedy about male-female relationships, dating, friendship, love and marriage on July 22 – 25 at 8 p.

Applewood hosts MYZFYTZ summer theatre performances
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP―While arts organizations continue to feel the pinch of a struggling economy and diminished public funding, Applewood Estates, CentraState’s continuing care retirement community, continues to do its part to support local arts organizations. The Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Applewood will serve as the summer rehearsal and performance home for MYZFYTZ, a Freehold-based theatre company.

Volunteers were recognized at a luau-themed luncheon on April 23 hosted by Applewood management.

Applewood broadcasts live performances using video technology
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP―Applewood Estates, CentraState Healthcare System’s active continuing care retirement community, is using new video technology to broadcast live cultural and entertainment events to residents from its Performing Arts Center. The performances are presented by SpectiCast, a private digital broadcast company that simulcasts live entertainment events never before available.

Applewood garners national recognition for highest quality senior living
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP –The CARF Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, the nation’s only system for accrediting continuing care retirement communities, has accredited Applewood Estates, CentraState’s active continuing care retirement community, for another five-year term. Nationally, only 15 percent of all continuing care retirement communities have earned this recognition.
