FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP—Applewood Estates, CentraState’s active continuing care retirement community, is offering the Applewood Fair on Saturday, May 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of the community. The event is open to the public.
The fair will feature rides and games for children, hot food, sweets and beverages. Residents have also donated items for a large yard sale, including furniture, clothing, housewares and collectibles. The CentraState Associated Auxiliaries will raffle three handmade quilts donated by the organization. Tours of Applewoood Estates also will be offered.
The fair was established by a committee of Applewood residents who will donate proceeds to the Applewood Charitable Fund, which provides financial support for philanthropic causes and circumstances. This fund is administered through the CentraState Healthcare Foundation.
"Our fair will be like a big party and everybody is invited to come out and have a wonderful time," says Dan Weitekamp, event chairperson and Applewood resident.
Applewood Estates is located at One Applewood Drive (off Gully Road) in Freehold. The rain date is Sunday, May 17.
